The Last 2 Months

The last two months have been eventful!  Earlier this month marked 6 months here in the Philippines; it some ways it feels like it was just last weeks, but in other ways it seems like years.  Here are some pictures and explanations of what I've been doing :)
Seaweed production is becoming a big business here.  It's often touted as a alternative livelihood for fisherfolk.

This picture is from Anda, Bohol.  The island in the distance is part of Mindanao (the forbidden land for Peace Corps Volunteers)

Everyone just looks so cool.

Just the coast in Anda... No big deal.

Just an average day on the water.
I spent almost a week in Bataan (our training site) for Christmas.  I had a great time; reconnecting with all the people in Morong was a great time.
Never skip the opportunity to take a picture of another PCV singing videoke...
I really miss good burgers... This one was from the TGI Fridays in Olongapo City.  I was really excited to get this burger hahaha

Some really nice gingerbread houses at a mall in Olongapo.

This starts the second half of my Christmas/New Years vacation.  From Bataan, we went to Cebu.

This is the Basilica Santo Niño in Cebu.

The tiny Santo Niño Chapel

The outside of the Basilica.  The damaged tower is the result of 2013 Bohol Earthquake.  You can see the video of it collapsing here.

The city of Cebu from the Taoist Temple.

The Great Wall! Just smaller... and much warmer I would assume.
