Learning How to see the Underwater World, Tarsiers, and Chocolate Hills

The last few weeks have brought a number of fun experiences.  The first was SCUBA certification in Anda.  It was a really fun, and new experience for me.  Here are some pictures from that!
This was our group for certification.  On the left is Jeremy (our instructor) and the other three are Frances (who took this awesome selfie), James, and me.

This was during our last dive in the coral garden at Amun Ini (Picture by James Repp)

We got certified at this resort... It's really nice, and if your travels ever bring you through Bohol, then Amun Ini is one of the nicest resorts in the country.  (Picture by James Repp)

Some of the food at Amun Ini... you get the idea... it was good.
Since it was Frances and James's first time on Bohol, we had to go see the tarsiers and the Chocolate Hills.  It was also my first time to see the Chocolate Hills that are in the middle of Bohol; it was nice to see one of the things the island is most famous for having.

TARSIER

Me and a Tarsier :)

First time to see the Chocolate Hills!

A bit of a panoramic of the Chocolate Hills.
The Chocolate Hills were affected by the 2013 Bohol Earthquake.  The hills are actually made of limestone, so some of them did have issues with cracking and causing slides.  News reports after the earthquake joked that they should now be called the "Chocolate Crinkles."
This big sign fell off the viewing hill.

The damage on this hill was from the earthquake (or so we were told).
Other highlights of this past month included a visit from ZSL (The Zoological Society of London) to report some of their findings on an ongoing study of the Danajon Bank.  I also received a visit from my Peace Corps Regional Manager and Sector Manager.  Their first attempt at a visit was disrupted by Typhoon Ruby.
